The Mountaintop

Technical Director

For this production I was asked to make flowers grow and bloom out of a motel room floor for this production. I accomplished this effect with the use of a pneumatic piston, steel fish tape and some 3/4" conduit. I was also constructed a silent operating snow machine which ran for 30' and had a 90 degree turn built into the system. This show was coproduced with Triad Stage in Greensboro, NC and all scenery was constructed to be shipped and staged in their space.

Some of the challenges involved with this show were the 18' tall by 8' wide light boxes that had to be erected along with the 12" molding that was carved out of foam for the ceiling unit.
